Before you boost a Facebook or Instagram post: a 6-point check

The "Boost" button is easy, which is why so much money is wasted on it. Six things to check first so your budget brings messages, not just likes.

Boosting a post takes two clicks. Getting customers from it takes a little more thought. Before you spend anything, run through this list.

  • 1. One offer, said clearly. If people can’t tell what you sell in two seconds, they scroll.
  • 2. A hook in the first image or the first line of the video: a price, a result, a question.
  • 3. The right goal. If you want customers, choose messages (WhatsApp or Messenger), not engagement.
  • 4. The right area. A shop in Rabat gains nothing from clicks in Agadir.
  • 5. Someone ready to answer. Ads that bring messages nobody answers for six hours are wasted.
  • 6. A small test first: a few days with a small budget, then keep what works and stop the rest.

Likes are not sales

A boosted post with hundreds of likes can still bring zero customers. Judge an ad by the messages, calls and orders it brings, and by what each one cost you. If you can’t measure that yet, start by asking every new customer how they found you.
